Our goal

We aim for clear heading structure, keyboard-operable controls, visible focus states, meaningful control names, sufficient contrast, responsive layouts, and text alternatives for informative images. Users should be able to zoom a page and enlarge text without losing access to essential actions.

Charts and mathematical content

Interactive statistical charts can be difficult for screen readers because a canvas does not expose every plotted point automatically. DistriScope pairs charts with labels, summaries, inputs, and explanatory text where practical. Mathematical notation is rendered with KaTeX, and important conclusions should also appear in ordinary language rather than relying on formula presentation alone.

Known limitations

Some advanced interactive plots may still require stronger tabular alternatives, more detailed accessible descriptions, or improved keyboard navigation. Motion and translucent visual effects can also affect users with vestibular or visual sensitivity. The interface honors reduced-motion preferences where styles support them, and we will continue auditing interactive components as the workspace evolves.

Report a barrier

If a control is unnamed, unreachable by keyboard, difficult to see, or unclear with assistive technology, open an issue in the GitHub issue tracker. Include the page, browser, operating system, assistive technology, expected behavior, and steps to reproduce. Accessibility reports should be treated as product defects, not optional enhancements.
